Freshwater pearls are back in the Conwy Valley!
At the turn of the 19th century, freshwater pearls from the Conwy Valley were sent weekly, by the kilo, to fine London jewellers, to be fashioned into beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings. Not so anymore in the 21st century, the mollusks that grow these lovely pearls are on the endangered species list & so I am thrilled that Conwy Pearls can, in some small way, bring Freshwater Pearls back to the stunningly beautiful Conwy Valley.
